ANXIETY THERAPY WITH THE RELATIONSHIP RESOURCE
Navigating your days with anxious thoughts, feelings, and sensations takes a lot of energy!
Anxiety can manifest as excessive worrying; panic; racing thoughts; physical symptoms such as a racing heart, sweaty palms, headaches, or muscle tension; perfectionistic expectations; or insomnia. When anxiety shows up it can create feelings of being very overwhelmed, alone, and unable to cope.
While experiencing some degree of anxiety some of the time is a natural part of being human, some people experience much higher levels of anxiety that interfere with functioning at work, functioning at home, and relationship functioning can also be impacted. It is sometimes possible to connect anxiety to a stressful life event but sometimes, people may feel as though they’ve lived alongside anxiety throughout their lives.

If you are considering therapy for anxiety, you might be noticing:
That you’re often second guessing and doubting yourself
You’re endlessly replaying in your mind regrettable things you may have said or done
You’re overthinking and finding decision making to be difficult which is leaving you feeling stuck
Your worries are keeping you from sleeping well
Your body feels as though it’s on high alert much of the time
You’re missing out on professional or personal life experiences because anxiety is leading to avoidance
High expectations and/or perfectionism leave you feeling exhausted or not enough
Anxiety can be quite a force to contend with. It has powerful ways of sneaking into any and all aspects of life and living and wreaking havoc on your sense of peace, harmony, and calm. Therapy can help to gain a deeper self understanding of the anxious thoughts and feelings at the core of your distress. Once these are identified, addressing the underlying reasons for anxiety symptoms becomes more effective.

Re-engaging with experiences in your personal or professional life that you may be missing out on
Re-setting your expectations of yourself to allow for a relationship with self that is built upon self compassion, care, and respect which, perhaps counterintuitively, can lead you to your highest potential
